Hello Shannon, nursing leadership is grounded on a positive work environment. With
a positive work environment, productivity at healthcare facilities is improved significantly.
Nurses and other healthcare workers are able to serve the needs of the patients in an effective
manner. It is important for all healthcare facilities to create ideal conditions that foster
positive work environment. Without a positive work environment, important goals cannot be
met. I like the choice of authentic leadership (Yoder-Wise, 2019). Authentic nursing leaders
are people who ensure that they respond to the needs of their followers. Authentic leaders are
grounded on strong values that can be traced back to their passion for better outcome.
Authentic leaders help organizations to achieve their goals.

Hello Dawn, leadership in the nursing field is often a difficult task. One needs to
ensure that they balance the needs of the patients with that of the organization. Success in the
nursing leadership calls for one to embrace certain styles. Transformational leadership is a
style of leadership that is focused on transforming organizations to achieve the goals that are
intended (Yoder-Wise, 2019). The leadership style appeals to me owing to the fact that
transformational leaders focus on the bigger picture. I agree with you that exemplary
professional practice is an important part of the nursing leadership. Nursing is founded on
certain core values that make the profession attractive and to stand out.
