Outline of My Personality Types

Based on the personality tests that I took, I am open-minded, conscientious,
extroverted, agreeable, and calm. Regarding my open-mindedness, I am always open to new
experiences thanks to my curiosity and creativity. As a conscientious person, I am highly
organized and can be relied upon to effectively discharge my duties in different settings. With
regards to my extraversion, I am highly energetic, social, and outgoing. As for my
agreeableness, it can be seen in my courteous, forgiving, and sympathetic nature. As a calm
person, I can remain calm even when I find myself in situations that are extremely tense.

Integration of My Personality into Work/Social Environment

The different aspects of my personality have a huge impact on my behavior in both
work and social settings. As a conscientious person, I usually finish my tasks on time.
Additionally, there are rarely errors in my work because I am exceedingly careful. My
extraversion allows me to make friends quickly in both social and work settings. I am also
always in good terms with my colleagues thanks to my agreeableness that is characterized by
courtesy, sympathy for others, and good-naturedness. This aspect of my personality also
serves me well in social settings as it allows me to have warm and positive relations with
people that I interact with. As for my calmness, it helps me to work well even when I am
under high pressure. Regarding my open-mindedness, it has made me to become a very
effective problem-solver as I am always able to think out of the box.

Examples of My Personality Type

I believe that there is no one who shares the exact personality as mine. People’s
personalities are shaped by genes and their environment which are never the same between
two people. However, there are many people that I share some of my personality traits,
including many famous ones. In particular, there are many people who are as extroverted and
conscientious just as I am. One of the famous people that shares some of my personality traits
is Phil McGraw, also called Dr. Phil. He is an American author and television personality
who has featured on, among others, the Oprah Winfrey show. His conscientious personality is
characterized by high level of personal organization that has enabled him to earn a doctorate
in clinical psychology and to run a successful television show where he has to develop new
and exciting content each day. His extraversion can also be seen in the energetic manner that
he interacts with guests on his television shows.

Impact of My Personality at Work and with Colleagues

As a result of my conscientiousness, I rarely have problems with my boss because I
always finish my tasks on time. In fact, sometimes I even finish long before deadline. With
some time left to spare, I often use the time to help my colleagues with their work. Such help
has earned me admiration from colleagues. It has also earned me a lot of friendships. My
agreeableness has also gone a long way in endearing me to my colleagues who appreciate my
courtesy and good-naturedness.

Biggest Lesson Learnt from the Assignment

There are certainly many lessons that I have learned from the assignment. However,
the biggest of them all is that our behaviors at work, social, and other settings are largely
influenced by our personalities. Knowing our personalities helps us to not only understand
those behaviors but to also shape them.
