The two topics selected are proper nutrition and physical exercise. Through proper
nutrition and physical exercise, the family can reduce the risk of getting diseases such as
heart disease, diabetes, and stroke, among others (Barzegari et al., 2011). In recent years,
many people have struggled with issues surrounding obesity. Through proper nutrition and
physical exercise, the family can ensure that all members maintain an ideal weight. Exercise
is also associated with the release of endorphins, which boost one’s mood (Abou Elmagd,
2016). Physical fitness can also help boost the self-confidence of the family members. When
one keeps fit, one is likely to boost their self-confidence and self-image. Good health is
hinged on physical exercise and proper nutrition.
To educate the family, I would have routine meetings. In the first meeting, we would
set up healthcare goals and work on a strategy to achieve the goals. We would then meet
routinely to look at the attainment of the goals set. I would help them identify a fitness center
and a strategy of ensuring that they incorporate regular exercise in their schedules. In
addition, I would work on assisting them plan their meals.
