Issue One: Emotional Impacts of Divorce
Divorce is associated with numerous adverse effects on children and adults. Notably,
divorce can result in many types of emotions in children, including feelings of loss and anxiety.
Children often find it challenging to cope with feelings of loss. Additionally, divorce brings
about guilt for children because they keep wondering why their parents are getting a divorce.
Notably, children often look for reasons their parents no longer love each other. On the positive
side, children often learn from divorce, especially when establishing its cause, and strive to
improve their marriages.
Issue Two: Virtual Education
Proponents of virtual education assert that it promotes effective time management,
especially as students do not have to commute to school to attend classes. Additionally, virtual
education gives students an expanded worldview because it allows them to collaborate with
international students from diverse cultural backgrounds. Also, virtual education allows students
to choose the best times to participate in learning activities. On the contrary, individuals who
oppose virtual education assert that it promotes cheating on tests, which is morally wrong.
Additionally, virtual education reduces social interactions between students.
Part Two
The topic I will choose for my essay will be Issue One: Emotional impacts of divorce. It
is vital to acknowledge that I chose this topic because my degree field, Criminal Justice in
Human Services and Advocacy, deals with the emotional impacts of divorce, especially on
children. Moreover, I chose this topic because I need to understand my eldest son’s emotional

issues after his recent divorce. Also, it is vital to acknowledge that most divorced individuals
require emotional support, which my degree field focuses on. Lastly, divorce is a significant
source of suicidal thoughts, and my degree field can offer therapy sessions to the affected
individuals.
