Skills that I Need for my Professional Success
My profession is teaching, and this means that I need various core skills to ensure that I
teach successfully. The soft skills that I have prioritized are conflict management, time
management, communication skills, and personal productivity.
A Description of how the Skills will Help me Achieve my Goals
In the school setup, conflicts are part of the normal working day. Teachers often conflict,
and students also get into various conflicts. Conflict management will help me ensure that I can
forge a working relationship with my colleagues as well as ensure that I achieve success at work.
Each teacher must ensure that they maximize the time allocated to each lesson. Time
management will ensure that I maximize the time allocated for every lesson. Communication
skills will ensure that I can communicate with all learners and my fellow teachers. I believe
that communication is the foundation of teaching. In addition, I will need to ensure that I make
the best out of every lesson. Personal productivity is thus very important in ensuring that I
achieve the educational goals set.

One resource that I find to be very useful is the Job Search, Networking & Interview
Preparation. Job search is an overly complicated thing. By getting the first job, one starts
the journey of achieving their career goals. The tool will help me find a job and enable me to
adequately prepare for the job interview. Another resource that I found useful is the Resume and
Cover Letter Development. The tool will enable me to prepare an attractive resume and a cover

letter. In so doing, I will be able to convince my potential employers why I am a suitable
candidate.
