A Trip to France and Paris

You had planned a trip to France and Paris. After reviewing the videos and PowerPoint about Paris and American/French influence, is there anything you would change? Why or why not? 

There is nothing that one would change about visiting Paris because it has neighborhoods providing different enchantments to a visitor. Some of the top three Paris neighborhoods are Louvre, Palais Royale, Bourse, Marais, and Picasso Museum (Parisnet, 2017). Louvre is the geographical center of Paris as it holds the Les Halles, the Louvre, and the Palais Royal, which are major tourist attractions around the globe. Bourse indulges tourists who like shopping in trendy boutiques since it is a primary business district. For a tourist who likes indulgence in history, Marais is the best destination as it has the Picasso Museum and 17^th-century mansions of the noble families that resided there (Parisnet, 2017). Therefore, the presence of history, geography, and fashion boutiques in the neighborhood of Paris make the city worth visiting.

There is nothing that one would change about visiting Paris because its week of tastes is phenomenal. The Week of Tastes has existed in France for thirty years (Parisinfo, 2022). It configures gastronomy in the middle of its programming. The events offered during the occasion are workshops, lessons in taste, and information campaigns about the pleasures of the human palate (Parisinfo, 2022). Therefore, visiting Paris is bound to give a person enjoyment devoid of moderation.

A visit to Paris is perfect, and nothing is worth reconfiguring. Visiting Paris in France is more of a journey to the location where the history of America was made and its birth initiated (The Americans in Paris, 2022). The Unique Tour in Paris takes an individual to all the locations that make Paris the first American city out of the U.S. The journey enables the tourist to walk in the footsteps of Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, and other mighty figures that sculptured American history (The Americans in Paris, 2022). Visiting Paris enables one to unveil where the two treaties of Paris were signed, get educated on the Louisiana Purchase that took place during the administration of Jefferson, and know where the former U.S. head of state resided whenever they visited Paris. Embarking on the Unique Tour in Paris enables Americans to discover why Paris and the U.S. have a commonality (The Americans in Paris, 2022). The sheer thought of reliving American history makes Paris worth paying a visit to.

A visit to Paris is blemishless, and nothing should be changed about it as the city holds the history of the Louisiana State and Cajun French. Louisiana, from the point of its inception, experienced an inauspicious existence. The fate of the state had been tied to the economy of France during the final years of the rule of Louis XIV (Library of Congress, n.d.). The French government had a highly centralized bureaucracy that disfavored policies that would have nurtured the economic independence of its colonies. Additionally, after the wars in Europe, the France treasury was unable to finance its colonies (Library of Congress, n.d.). Cajun French is the generalized term used to infer the French that is Spoken in South Louisiana (LSU, 2022). Its origins are traced to the French and Acadian languages spoken by individuals who settled in Louisiana during the European colonization in the 17^th century. The words and structures utilized in cajun French are bound to be understood and recognized by fluent French linguists from other nations (LSU, 2022). Therefore, visiting Paris, France, is bound to take an American’s mind down memory lane on France’s economic and linguistic impact on the state of Louisiana before its independence.
