Analysis of Steve Job’s commencement speech

Steve Jobs was a well-established and renowned entrepreneur who revolutionized the
generation of computer back in the 70’s by co-founding Apple company. Him being a college
drop-out changed the perspective of being wealthy without reaching great heights in the
academic ladder. This was seen when he was commenced in Stanford University for his
tremendous work in the technology industry.
During his commencement speech, the speech had three powerful moments that we can
relate with our day-to-day life choices and how they will affect us in the future. First, he talked
about joining the dots. This is whereby one is clueless of what they are doing but it is the hope
and determination that is pushing them with the unknown results being a factor to consider. This
stage one is doing things that they love and are committed to it knowing very well that in the
future it will come in handy. He further concludes that dots are connected looking backwards and
having a little faith in yourself.
Second moment in his speech was the love and loss moment he went through n his line of
work. Loving what you do will make you reach great heights and some of the things happening
to you are blessings in disguise. Having passion in what you do will create some sense of
satisfaction and relieve and never settle without finding what you are looking for.
In conclusion on his speech, he said that one ha to have a mindset of death is inevitable
and one has to purpose to living the best out of it and make it memorable because tomorrow is
unknown. This will push you out your comfort zone and you will live fully without regrets
thereafter.
