Battered Mind Prevention

The organization will be called Battered Mind Prevention. The purpose of this
organization will be to help people outlive their past battered experiences. It will prevent people
from living the minds of when they were battered. It will be dedicated to aiding people in
knowing how to deliberately stop ruminating. The organization will function to reach out to
victims of violence and those who have been battered. Through different intervention programs,
people will be assisted in restructuring their lives and their minds to have quality lives that are
not founded on shadows of past trauma and violence. The organization will help individuals look
beyond physical needs and address the emergent psychological needs that are tied to their past.
The organization’s mission will be; “enhancement of the well-being and general health of
people by applying cognitive, behavioral, and biological evidence-based principles in helping
people outgrow their battered minds.” The organization will improve the quality of people living
with depression and anxiety caused by experiences that have or continue to destabilize them. It
will be about changing people’s mindset and help them see the good side of life.
The organization will be located in Rockford, Illinois. The people in my community
require an organization that will help them take care of their mental wellness. Although we have
many organizations in the region, there lacks an organization whose purpose is to prevent
battered minds. The absence of such essential services has had a negative impact on people’s
quality of lives; the able ones travel for miles to reach the nearest organization. However, those
who are not financially stable struggle in life as they live with battered minds. The organization’s
purposes on bringing these services closer to the people.
