Creating Value Through Human Resources

The topic selected is the Chain of Success from the assigned chapter Creating Value
Through Human Resources. Success in any organization is a result of a deliberate effort on the
part of the management. The human resource department plays an important role in the chain of success in any organization (Stewart & Brown, 2020). Human resource management plays a
critical role in the acquisition of employees as well as the maximization of employee
performance. In addition, human resource management helps in meeting the needs of the
employees. If the roles of the human resource department are played well, a company will have
workers that are happy, skilled, and engaged for the long term (Stewart & Brown, 2020). The
company will also have strong relationships in the customer care department, and this will result
in repeat business. The end result is an effective financial performance that is characterized by
survival and growth as well as high levels of profitability. The human resource must seek to
ensure that excellent employees are kept in the organization. With excellent employees, the
needs of the consumers will be met. The end product will be greater customer loyalty that will
result in increased profitability.
In the business world, high levels of competition exist. Companies must therefore ensure
that they gain a competitive advantage over their rivals. Companies can only achieve this goal
through having an effective human resource management department. The effectiveness of the
human resource department can be analyzed through the acquisition of employees as well as the
motivation levels that exist in the workplace. If the two are executed in an effective manner, a
company is able to serve its consumers effectively, and this translates to high levels of financial
performance.
