The Ashford University Library is a great resource that can be utilized by students who
aim at working on research. I found the library to provide information that is necessary for
supplementing lectures. Through the library, I have been able to do research on different issues. I
have found assignments interesting and informative. Important study materials are also found in
the library, and this makes learning significantly easier. Information retrieval is one major cause
of concern.
The library has a huge volume of information. It is difficult to filter the information and
narrow down the search. In some instances, it becomes very difficult for a learner to find the
specific information that they are looking for. In my case, I have learned how to narrow down
databases. Through narrowing down the database, I have found it easier to retrieve the
information that I need. One thing that I also found useful is filtering the sources. One can easily
analyze the peer-reviewed sources and non-peer reviewed sources by using the Ashford
University Library.
Explain how using the Ashford University Library has improved your experience in
conducting research. For example, you could identify and explain how specific
tutorials that you have used have helped improve your ability to conduct research.

The university library has been a resourceful search engine. When conducting research, I
have been able to find valuable references. I have been able to filter the search results and find
credible references. I have also been able to cite references, and this has eliminated the problems
associating with documenting my sources. In the past, I have always found it difficult to
document my sources. After searching on popular search engines such as Google, I have found
articles that do not have dates and authors. The library solves this problem, and this has made
research interesting and easier.
