To start, you canSeveral evidence-based models support the implementation of evidence-based practices.
These models help nurses and other health professionals to ensure comprehensive
implementation of evidence-based practices projects. Although there are several evidence-based
models for now we will discuss the most frequently reported modes that are the Iowa model and
Stetler models.
Research shows a large number of nurses specified that their hospital frequently used the
Iowa model to translate nursing research to clinical findings (Speroni et al., 2020) . There are
essential steps and factors to be considered in the implementation of this model. These crucial
steps include; Identifying a problem/knowledge to be focused on, then determining whether the
activator is a health care organization priority, reflecting on the team’s topic of interest and
including interested parties, Evaluate the availability and merit level of evidence, checking for
credible and available evidence, plan the practice change. If the plan s successfully executed,
disseminate findings within the organization and implement recommended change to practice.
Major factors to consider when implementing this kind of model. First check if approved for use
at the organizational level also check if it supports the use of a realistic problem-solving
approach after, Clearly single out decision points and feedback loops thought the model then
Emphasize on the necessity of plot project before initiating system-wide project lastly
Recommend for interprofessional collaboration (Wells & Card, 2021) .
The other model is Stetler. It examines how to use evidence to create change that fosters
clinic centers. There are several phases in this model.
Preparation: identify priority need.
Validation: Assess the source of evidence.
Decision making: determine whether to apply summation of findings to practice.
Application: identify practice insinuations.
Evaluation: determine if the goals of evidence-based practice were achieved.
