Hey Chris. These are the two assignments due on Friday 7 October.
7008: Cognitive and Social aspects of Development.
 200 word(max) essay on one theory of development ( Piaget or Vygotsky)
 Should include a brief description of chosen theory and some critical evaluations e.g
strengths and weaknesses of theory.
 Half of the essay should be on the description and half on the critical review. Should be
strictly 200 words and should have 2 references.
7006: Intelligence, personality and individual differences.
 1000 word (maximum) essay on: Is the measurement of intelligence useful for predicting
educational attainment?
 If you can find this journal you can use it to reference. Deary I.J, Strand S, Smith P, and
Fernandes C (2007) Intelligence and educational achievement. Intelligence, 35, 13-21. If you
cant access it its fine you can just write the paper and I will get references from there myself
and add them to the paper
 The paper should have at least 3-4 references.
