Identify two key elements of the catalog’s Academic Integrity (Links to an

external site.) (Links to an external site.) sections and describe how you feel these
elements are important to you as a scholar and professional. 
The two key elements that I feel have an impact on my life as a scholar are
personal responsibility and academic integrity (University Arizona Global Campus,
n.d). Personal responsibility seeks to ensure that all learners take individual
responsibility for choices as well as consequences. I believe as a scholar; I need to
take personal responsibility for my success. I need to understand choices, whether
good or bad, have consequences. The understanding will help me ensure that I make
good choices to get the best results. Academic integrity is central to my scholarly
work. One can violate academic integrity in various ways, including plagiarism,
cheating, and fabrication. Violation of academic integrity is a serious offense that
could attract various penalties. As a scholar, I aim to ensure that I uphold academic
integrity avoid all forms of academic integrity violations. In my scholarly work, I will
avoid cheating as well as ensure that I do my work with a lot of integrity.
Explain how the online writing or graphic you chose uses information unethically. In
your explanation, be sure to refer to the two key elements you identified in the previous
step.

The graphic that I selected is an advertisement. The photo advertises a beauty product with
the claim that it eliminates wrinkles in only minutes. The information given by the
advertisement is erroneous and can easily mislead innocent consumers. The advert relates to
the falsification of information. The information given is not accurate, and this results in a
misleading advert.
Develop a strategy for how you, as a scholar, could avoid making this same ethical
mistake?
Scholars are expected to uphold the highest levels of academic integrity. One of the
ways a scholar can avoid making the same ethical mistake is ensuring that they give
information that is grounded on facts. One should not falsify information to achieve certain
selfish interests. The information should also consider the audience.
