Implementation of Global Strategies

John and Deborah’s company has considered the analytical, strategic options that will
help it implement and evaluate the success of its project. The company is therefore pondering the
decision to expand, the way globalization impacts the marketplace, and whether there is a need
to evaluate the opinions and decisions given the new information collected so far.
Considering the information collected, the company should go global. The company has
the advantage of quality information collected through analytical tools. The company collected
the information through Porter’s five forces and PESTEL analysis for market and environmental
analysis in the new location.
The company has also selected a strategic implementation tool. The Balanced Score Card
and its four perspectives will enable the company to assess the implementation of its strategy to
determine if it meets the requirements that the ownership and management have set for
themselves. Applying the balanced scorecard and other analytical tools will help the company
establish a competitive front in the new location. Secondly, the company has considered the
advantages of going global in relation to the challenges it has been facing in the local market.
One of the challenges that the company wanted to solve was increasing revenues.
The new market allows the company to access a larger market, increasing sales. The new
expansion was also thought to be strategic, allowing the company an opportunity to observe the
Asian market for expansion if need be. Secondly, the new market will provide access to new
opportunities in human capital, and access to new skills and talents may be a competitive
advantage in the future.
How globalization affects the market

There are several ways to assess how globalization affects the market. Some of the
impacts of globalization are positive, while others are negative. Globalization increases
competition (Taylor, 2014). Globalization means that there are more companies active in the
market. Every company tries its best to outdo each other and control the global market. Another
visible characteristic is the need for companies to establish a competitive advantage. This is the
one aspect that sets businesses apart from their competition. The search for competitive
advantage requires companies to dedicate serious resources, with the disadvantage being that the
company may be unable to sustain such advantage for long. Therefore, companies must
continually seek or have several sources of competitive advantage. The advantage of
globalization is that it aids global supply chains and helps people in different countries access
products and services they do not produce.
Another advantage is that it allows companies to achieve efficiency (Mamedov et al.,
2016). This means that companies are allowed to compete based on efficiency. The most
profitable companies are the ones that produce at maximum capacity with maximum economy
and efficiency. This enables companies to improve their internal systems. Finally, customers are
the biggest beneficiary of globalization. Companies compete on prices, and customers can
choose from a variety depending on their cost.
My opinion has not changed between the beginning of the course and now, and I am still
convinced that the company should go global to enjoy some of the benefits discussed here.
However, I learn new concepts every week that help me make more informed recommendations
for John and Deborah’s company.
