publication date (it should be as recent as possible, preferably not more than five years old), the
sources in literature review/background should also be relatively recent, and the methodology
applied should be appropriate in addressing the paper’s research questions (Saunders &
Vehvilainen-Julkunen, 2016). Additionally, the study should clearly address its strengths and
weaknesses as well as its limitations (Saunders & Vehvilainen-Julkunen, 2016). Using these
strategies, nurses are sure to get the most relevant information that they need at given time
during their care for patients.
