- New Practice Approaches
New practices need to be carefully incorporated into the nursing practice. The
introduction of new nursing practices in the week is required to be included in the nursing
intervention. The clinical trial for the week entailed familiarization with some of the clinical
procedures that can effectively improve patients’ outcomes.
- Interprofessional Collaboration
Interprofessional collaboration was the topic selected for the week’s discussion. In
clinical practice for the week, Interprofessional collaboration was influential in the initiation and
following of nurse-driven bladder. The debate for the week was on how collaboration will
effectively reduce the rates of acute incidents within the health care setting.
- Health Care Delivery and Clinical Systems
Quality and safe health care practices were the primary discussion for the week. Key
entities for the week’s clinical practice were health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, and
various treatment options. All the deliverables for the week were dependent on the patient’s
lifespan (Saladin, 2018). More emphasis for the week was on creating health delivery plans that
will be integrated with the requirement and health conditions of the patient.
- Ethical Considerations in Health Care
There are several ethical considerations in the provision of care to the patient.
Confidentiality was the main focus of the week’s clinical practice. Any health care information
relating to a patient needs to be kept confidential and not disclosed to a third party without the
patient’s consent (Bulatao and Anderson, 2011). Ethical considerations are vital in ensuring there
is the integration of service delivery.

- Practices of Culturally Sensitive Care
Culture needs to be incorporated into the treatment module of the patient. The week’s
discussion was on how best to integrate a patient’s culture, such as belief and religion, into the
care plan. The main idea is to ensure a high level of acceptance of care being provided and
increased health care outputs.
- Ensuring the Integrity of Human Dignity in the Care of All Patients
The discussion of the week was on how each human is made from the image of God, and
there is a need to grant them the utmost respect while providing care. The practice for the week
was on how to provide care for all patients regardless of their race, gender, color, image, or
social status. When there is an issue of unfair treatment of the patient, the quality of care being
provided declines, and the health care performance provides performance reduces.
- Population Health Concerns
The discussion of the week entailed health concerns that are within the environment. A
key idea was evaluating the windshield survey, which can be crucial in identifying health
problems in the community (Saladin, 2018). A person activity during the week was to study a
relevant community and identify some of the resources available that can be effective in the
management of population health concerns.
- The Role of Technology in Improving Health Care Outcomes
In the week, the focus of the discussion was on the importance of technology in
improving health care output. A joint agreement was that technology plays a massive role in
ensuring improved access to health care information. The practice for the week was on using
technologies such as Electronic Health Care records, barcodes scanning, and the innovation of
robotics in performing surgeries.

- Health Policy
The policy affects health care in several ways, the key objective being on improving
health care access. The practice for the week was on insurance coverage policies and their effects
on health care access. Another practice experience was discussing health care policies that are a
barrier to improved health care outcomes.
- Leadership and Economic Models
The week’s discussion was based on leadership qualities that effectively improve the
performance of other employees. The focus was on using economic models of decision-making
that assist leaders in ensuring the flow of information from top management to the grassroots
level.
- Health Disparities
Several factors make a population in the community vulnerable to health care diseases.
The week’s focus was on discussion such as age and income – level that places a population in
the community at a much higher risk of being infected by a disease or suffering from a health
condition.
