Hello Anthony, one way through which teachers can develop the academic resilience of
their students is through providing meaningful opportunities for them, to actively take part in the
process of learning. the flipped classroom model is one approaches that is being implemented to
increase engagement among students, meet their learning needs, and develop more resilience
among learners. Flipped classroom model alongside with CCSS helps students take charge of the
learning process. The flipped classroom idea can be implemented alongside CCSS. Teachers
have the autonomy to modify instructional practices and incorporate methods that best enhance
learning. flipped classroom model is one of the ways through which teachers can implement their
flexibility (Brame, 2013). Students do simple tasks at home or on their own while more complex
tasks are done in the classroom with the help of the teacher.

Hello Eleanor, flipped classroom enhances the independence of learners. It also helps
them take charge of the learning process and be more actively involved. With the integration of
technology in the classroom, implementing a flipped classroom in conjunction with the CCSS

has been made even easier. Students can access assignments and tasks through their tablets,
smartphones, or even laptops. The teacher does not have to print work for individual leaners.
Also using tools such as Edmodo, interaction amongst students and between students and the
instructors are more efficient. The CCSS creates room for the teacher to be more creative in their
implementation of the curriculum content. According to Låg & Sæle (2019), flipped classroom
enhances learner satisfaction. It is thus a great model worth implementing.
