learner is an auditory type of learner, then they should also be exposed to the use of graphics and
pictures so that they can be helped to hone their skills. When I was first introduced to
differentiation, I thought it was very hard to implement, especially in a largely diverse
classroom. However, my perspective has changed over time, and now I view instructional
differentiation as the best thing to master as an educator.

Hello Yvonne, I agree with you on the fact that the teacher in the video explained the concept of
differentiation in a way that made it very easy for educators to understand and even implement in
the classroom. The use of the universal design for learning enhances autonomy in the classroom.
It allows students to chose how to consume information, how to engage with each other as well
as with the educator, and how to express what they have learned. I think the universal design for
learning has revolutionized the process of instruction. When technology is incorporated
alongside the use of UDL, then educators allow students to take part in very flexible processes of

relax and work towards creating a classroom that accommodates all students and also pushed
