Should the firefighters have stood by and let the house burn down?

Firefighters should not stand by and let the house burn down to the ground
considering the public trust they have from society. Although, they from time to time faced
with complex issues in their line of duty, it is necessary that they make sound decisions. The
most important call for a firefighter is to protect the life and properties threatened by the fire.
Besides, most people in a society hold highly those who help fight fire in households on the
verge of destruction. Better so, the community holds life as a precise gift that should be
protected by all means by those responsible. Therefore, thinking of the consequences in a fire
incidence, saving the lives of people is an essential value in life other than money is earned
from the roll of duty. If the firefighters let the house burn down without thinking of the
outcome, it could be that their call to function was irrelevant. Therefore, from this point of
view, it would be termed unprofessional and morally wrong.
I believe the firefighters, homeowners, fee payers, and managers of the fire services
would agree to the same. This is because they have at all times, pledged to look after each
other unconditionally. Besides, growing up in a morally upright society and having the
passion for saving lives would push each one of them to do whatever that is humanly possible
to make sure that they put out the fire. Thus, the members should be willing to risk their life
and health while they avoid situations of pretense or otherwise responding to one’s partner in
an immoral and unethical manner.
