Capitalizing on strengths to capture market opportunities is one way to match Amazon’s
strengths to opportunities. Based on the SWOT analysis, Amazon Inc.’s key strength is its
effective distribution strategy (Sadq et al., 2018). With enhanced efficiency in its distribution
network, the company can expand by building more warehouses and stores globally (expansion
opportunity).

How to Convert the Business’s Weaknesses into Strengths

The first step is to acknowledge and accept that the company is not in the best possible
situation. The company cannot turn weaknesses into strengths if it is too engaged in denying
them. After determining these weaknesses, it is feasible to correct them. For example, one of
Amazon Inc.’s key flaws is the low quality of some of its products supplied by a few vendors.
The corporation will need to build automated systems to check the quality of all vendors’
products. Cloud technology would be my best bet. Going digital will ensure that the company’s
products are of high quality.

Amazon Inc. must meet its consumers’ needs; this can be accomplished by providing
real-time delivery. Time can provide a significant competitive edge, especially timely delivery of
products. Delivering promptly or on short notice may be just as crucial as the pricing strategy.
Many clients are willing to pay extra for timely and efficient delivery. The company must also
strengthen its technological capabilities. Rapid technical advancement can have major

implications for competition. Amazon Corporation may obtain a competitive advantage by
strengthening its technologies to develop business innovation.

May Affect the SWOT Analysis

Interactions between Amazon’s distinct business departments are essential to its success.
Each business function or department must be aware of how its activities or inactions affect other
aspects of the company. Amazon must carefully manage the linkages between different
organizational operations to achieve optimum performance and productivity. When this is done
effectively, we are likely to have more strengths than weaknesses.
