Teaching the Standards with Technology 

A teacher needs to be committed and creative to ensure that technology benefits the
learners in the classroom. There has been a significant investment directed towards technology in
the classroom setup. Technology is guiding teachers in evaluating the progress of the learners
and in so doing helping teachers to meet the needs of the learners. Jenkins describes how a
teacher applied technology to identify areas that students needed help and support. Through the
use of technology, the teacher was able to help the learners to improve e significantly. Evidently,
through technology, learning can be conducted with precision. Technology helps teachers to
prepare students for next level of education. The video describes how technology helps prepare
students progression from grade school to the world. Technology infused learning environment
prepares learners for a technology-infused world. In the video, the teacher is using technology to
scan through the classroom and in so doing identifying the learner’s name and the answers given
by the students. Technology is thus helping the teacher to analyze the responses of the learners,
and this helps her to identify each learner’s strengths and weaknesses.
Teachers can integrate technology into their lesson plan by considering how technology
can be used to organize, acquire, and communicate information. An analysis of the available
technology can help the teacher plan on how to apply technology in the learning process (Krogh
et al., 2015). One way that a teacher can integrate technology into the lesson plan is by using
technology to create an assessment plan. Learning is founded on achieving certain goals. A
teacher can use technology to assess the achievement of the goals. Another way that technology
can be integrated into the lesson plan is the use of software programs to deliver content. Based
on the curriculum, a teacher can achieve the objectives by the use of technology.
Implementation of technology in the classroom aims at transforming teaching and
learning. However, the teacher plays a central role in implementing technology in the classroom.

Effective implementation of technology heavily depends on the teacher (Krogh et al., 2015).
With the developments in technology, it is important for teachers to learn how to navigate
through the technology and implement the technology to the benefit of the learners. In my
experience, if a teacher is not adequately prepared to implement technology, the teacher will not
achieve the educational goals set. My comfort level using technology is average. Although I can
use most applications, some are particularly challenging to me. I will ensure that I study and
prepare adequately to navigate through different applications. Engaging in research will be
beneficial in ensuring that I succeed in implementing technology in the classroom.
