Influence of Tennessee Government on Healthcare
Tennessee, just like the federal government, has three branches of government. These
are legislative, executive, and judiciary. All of these three branches are involved in shaping
healthcare policies of the state. The legislative branch makes decisions on matters such as
which healthcare programs to be paid for by the state and which ones to be paid by
individuals. It also makes laws that regulate the use of various drugs and substances.
The executive branch oversees the implementation of healthcare policies that have been
passed by the legislative branch of government. As for the judicial branch, it interprets laws
