Stefan Bargheer is an assistant professor of sociology at the University of California. He
has also written articles on political ecology and environmental history. He is thus a
credible author to write on the topic under study. The article explores the anti-nuclear
protests and compares them to a new form of social movement activism geared towards
environmental protection and sustainability. The article also gives examples of
movements that have come up to lobby against environmental risks and health hazards
associated with climate change in the recent past. The article compares to the one by
Thiri et al. (2022) in that the two articles focus on social movements and their role in
nature conservation. The authors also focus on civil disobedience and how wildlife

Benjamin K. Sovacool co-authors the article. Sovacool is a Professor of Energy Policy at
the University of Sussex Business School in the United Kingdom. He is also a consultant
and researcher o issues relating to climate change mitigation and adaptation hence a very
credible author on the issue covered in the article. Alexander Antony Dunlap holds a

Ph.D. in Social Anthropology and has published many works on market-based
conservation, wind energy development, and coal mining. The article is intended for
climate and environmental activists and policymakers in governments across the world.
The article explores radical tactics that those committed to engaging in action towards
environmental conservation may be implemented. The authors examine efforts that can
dynamically confront indifference and inaction and have the potential to subvert power
relations that are facilitating environmental destruction and climate disasters. The article
compares to the one written by Thiri et al. (2022) in that both articles look at ways
through which people can be activated or triggered to take action aimed at mitigating
climate change. The article illuminates the topic for this bibliography as it deals with
ways to approach civil disobedience in a bid to mitigate climate change and deal with

change and the role of social movements in mitigating it. They have also written works
on carbon budget, carbon emissions, and environmental justice. The article examines
works achieved by social movements in contesting projects on fossil fuels. The authors
state that social movements have made major contributions to curbing carbon emissions.
They also hold that these movements hold a lot of potential in mitigating climate change
and advocating for environmental protection. The article compares to the one written by

Sovacool and Dunlap (2022) in that it also looks at the potential in people to effect
change if they are informed of climate change mitigation activities and policies. The
article illuminates my topic because it explores ways in which raise awareness on
alternative market solutions, alternative energy sources, and the impact of burning fossil
fuels on the environment. The article also looks at how raising awareness can be a tool
for addressing civil disobedience and encouraging people to take action towards
