Students’ benefits andbarriers to mental health help-seeking. Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine: AnOpen Access Journal, 2(1), 1009-1022.The article recognizes the importance of mental health services for college students asthey help them deal with the pressure and stress they may encounter while pursuinghigher education. However, the authors acknowledge that the stigma associated withseeking mental health services is a potential barrier that stops college students fromseeking these services (Vidourek et al., 2014). Another barrier is the accessibility ofmental health services. The authors suggest creating awareness to eradicate the stigmaassociated with mntal health disorders and increase access to mental health services toensure that college students who need such services can access them with ease.The article presents a wealth of knowledge and includes knowledge from other scholarlysources to strengthen the argument presented. Additionally, the authors collected datafrom a representative sample, which ensures that the study results can be generalized.Another strength is that the article contains a wide scope of information and includesperceived barriers and benefits of mental health services as well as how to enhance accessto mental health services among college students. This thus ensures that the reader getsaccess to a wide variety of information just from reading one article.However, the article has some weaknesses in that it adopted a monothematic approach inthe study. This could potentilly affect the extent to which the study results can begeneralized (Vidourek et al., 2014). Other than that, the article is well-written. It will be a
